All of this is a result of a philanthropists pushing a basketball/hockey arena for downtown Newark to establish some pizzazz into New Jersey's urban core so that it might have a chance to pick itself up by its "bootstraps."

Thanks for bringing that up. I saw that article and almost hit the roof. I bet the Fox Ledger won't do a series of articles featuring "NOT MY TAX DOLLAR" mentality. In fact, I bet none of our "representatives" will even send a letter critizing this boondoggle.

how the state is bending over backwards to make this project go through. Newark had a harder time using its own money in its own city for the people in this city..... :mad:
