1. Everyone was fired in a fair and judicious manner. The firing list was drawn up by an inside gang of three people, including his lover, the Ass’t Executive Director of Administration and Program Operations. People were secretly promoted, titles changed and salaries raised during the planning process of this ruse (Yep, that’s some way to go about saving money). One of the saddest stories to come out of this whole fiasco is a guy that was laid off that was 8 friggin months from being eligible for his pension. But, the NHA had to downsize. That’s business for ya!

2. I never paid $3,100 to have my desk refurbished. (My goodness, you can buy 5 desks for that amount).

3. I never paid $300 for a new doorknob to my office.

4. I never paid $40 for a “state of the art” waste paper basket. (He bought 3 of these baskets.) Again, you can get 3 baskets for $10 at the right place.

5. Company cars are assigned to the proper personnel. (Again, this is a bad joke. His lover, the one mentioned in point1, has a car. The Executive Assistant of the Finance has a car. His wife is reported to have access to a car AND even former BOE board member, Parillo, has access to a car. (Can you say, waste of money and improper use of federal property?)

6. My former legal counsel was never caught with child pornography on his computer multiple times. (I still find this amazing, since the NHA is reported to have banned access to Newark Speaks but couldn’t find the fortitude to deal with this issue straight up.)

7. All of our employees are legal citizens/residents.

8. An employee has NEVER collected her salary while on maternity leave, even though that is not the policy of the NHA.

9. The trip to France, that included my wife and daughter, was cost efficient. (Note: I haven’t even mentioned the trips to Disney World)

10 My daughter’s “consulting firm” has NOT collected more than $200,000 over the years.

This bull is so sad. Whatever happened to doing the right thing? This is why so many people are completely turned off by politics--on the national level (cf Halliburton), to our Imperial City Council (third highest paid in the nation for a dirtpoor city), to this poverty pimp Lucas living the high life off people they hate more and respect less than some "liberal" white folks do.

Once again the black educated class fails us. Haven't we had enough Laura Blackburne type negroes explaining the inexplicable. They ain't as smart as they would have us all to believe, they make it harder for the next brother or sister and they perpetuate the same "fugg it" mentality like a neighborhood drug dealer trying to get paid.

The best spin-meister in the world cannot justify these kind of excesses. How do people become so ethically challenged? Is there no system of checks and balances at the NHA? Don't the board members have to sign off on such things as the plasma t.v. which, by the way, Master Harold's spokesperson claimed was purchased for them? If Master Harold did have his press conference today, I cannot imagine what he could have formed his mouth to say. His attorney probably pulled his coat and told him to zip it. I feel that Sharpe is ready to throw Harold under the bus. This was the people's money being shamefully squandered and it is the people who will suffer once the Feds get done slashing NHA's budget. :(

Sometimes one has to wait awhile to see it, but "What comes around, goes around". I would have to agree, once the Feds get involved it is big touble brewing. I don't believe James could save his little behind if he wanted to. Still the sad part are those who needed their jobs and lost them as a result of poor management.

Imagine being a NHA tenant with a broken sink, a ceiling falling down, bugs, crime, etc. and you see how Lucas is living off of government money that should have been spent to fix your place up.

Did anyone see Lucas on tv at the news conference. He looks a little shaken up. I wonder how he is sleeping at night thinking any minute the Feds could knock on the door with a search warrant.

Good morning Mr, Five Reasons, "What is wrong with these folks at NHA. I cannot sit back and watch Mr. and Mrs Lavishing walk around the agency like they are Kennedy royalty! Its a shame before God! Mr. Lucas had the nerve to say let the people who lost their jobs fight for thier jobs from the outside how cold can you be. Who do the hell you think you are. Do you think your family is any important than mine I don't think so! When you came back from Washington D.C you were a different animal. You looked like a cold monster. If you did not want the position of NHA Executive Director any longer, why did'nt you refuse it! To come back and treat people as if you did not give a damn about them is horrible! No one screamed across the agency when your son was busted twice for buying drugs at a NHA project site. No one dogged you or your son then. As a parent myself, we don't know how are children are gonna turn, all we can do is pray. But I have never in all my years been treated so bad. And the sad part about is that Mr. Lucas has protected some like Frank Armour, who was head of corporate counsel (a jewish man that was already rich and lives in Short Hills NJ) but everyone knew he was a pedophile. He was caught serveral times throughout the years looking at little boys on he NHA laptap. One time someone in IT Department had to check his computer because something was wrong with it, and to thier horror they saw pictures of children engaging in explicit acts. But dont you know they still covered Frank Armours behind. January 2004 of this year, the Feds came and arrested Frank Armour because lo and behold he was part of an international child pornography ring! Even though they knew he was a criminal he was allowed to retire with all his pension and benefits and still use up his sick time! How digusting but other people are laid off and thrown out the building as if they were criminals. Mr. Lucas where does your loyalty ly. You mistreat other people and protect criminals, some that are known felons! and you know who they are. But people like me who dont have much and is struggling with little ones you kick them out. And please, I beg stop telling the media that you did the layoff in a fair and just way. When you know that is a lie. You have have hired people within the last 2 years that still have a job, other people who have been there much longer you laid them off. Stop protecting Rahman family members and others. It is no wonder Rahman of Local 617 did not fight hard for our jobs back he has family members on the payroll! I want all my union money back and will go to court and fight NHA and Local 617 to the End! Mr. Lucas I promise you on my 85 year old mama that I will fight you and your entity to the end. Now back to the topic at hand. Mr. Lucas i barely can control myself. I was raised never to be happy for someone else's misfortune, but as I said before my brother, you shall reap, what you sow! This bas---d is now choking by his own scrawney bowtie! I remember in 1996 I was jobhunting and at the time one of my older sisters was working closely with this bas---d at The City of Newark. So one day I called Mr. Lucas to ask him if he could help me get a position within the City of Newark, to show you how nasty and lowdown this moth---k is, he had the audacity to tell my sister and I quote" Your sister called here asking me for a job sounding desperate". When my sister called me and told me what this bas---d said I was so upset and angry and I told my sister I hope you set his as- straight because we don't come from deserate people! Before I make my move on the NHA and entities I sit back patiently and watch you and yours sweat after mistreating and dogging the less fortunate that were under you at NHA. How does it feel now Mr. Lucas I know you like being under the spot lights but being under this kind of scrutiny, does not feel that great does it. You told us back in 2004, fight for your jobs back from the outside. Let me educate you folks out there just a little bit more. My sister used to work for this piece of sh-t at NHA. She also worked for this bas__d in Washington, DC , when she no longer wanted to worked for him he let the bosses at NHA treat me like a barn yard dog! I was promised raises which I never got. I was under the same Director of a specific department in NHA for 7 and 1/2 years. I felt like I was with a husband that hated me! This man treated like sh-- in front of the whole department. I went to MR. Lucas over and over again. He promised me he would move me from this department and put me somewhere else.

Donald Bradley you wont be off the hook either. Donald Bradley, which let me remind you people that I live in the South Ward and that I campaigned for this man, he would have people to pick me up at my house to come to meetings at his house to meet with these older sisters titled the The Women for Donald Bradley during his campaign. Those older women looked at me like I was crazy, like I was there to steal their husbands. Nevertheless Bradley one day bought this young lady to our department at N HA. When he came there he asked to see our department director which I will call for now Mr. D. He told Mr. D to not touch this girl in no shape form or fashion. This girl would come to work late and high every day. One day the girl came to work at 4:00 in the evening! Mr. D was scared to say anything becasue Bradly had already told him that no matter what this girl did dont touch her. Simply because she was a daughter of a friend of his. Bradley sits on the Board of Directors for NHA and promised me over and over again that he would move me to another department and raise my salary. I sent faxes to him at City hall to try to meet with him and crying, blood pressure out of control, stressed the hell out. I was so much under stress that it was only mother prayers and my God above that kept me from falling dead from a stroke. Donald Bradlynever answered back.....For all those years I went through pure dee hell! I was harrassed sexually and otherwise all these years. Personnel department may you rot in hell! The corruption at The Newark Housing Authority ran rampant! But have no fear my people. You just be just a little bit more patient and the entire story will come out in the end.
