I got this email from my sister in law. I posted this to get input from you guys.

The Difference...

Contrary to what many may think, there is a difference between Black people and niggas...

Black people spend thousands of dollars on higher education and see the value of owning real estate.
Niggas spend thousands of dollars on ''getting high" and are concerned only with keepin' it real..

When Black people have children, they try to get better paying jobs to make sure they can support their child...
When niggas have children, they change jobs to avoid paying child support.

When Black people have children, they invest in college plans, piano lessons and braces...
When niggas have children they invest in designer clothes, platinum jewelry and mini-Air Jordans

Black people watch out for their neighbors and understand the importance of strong neighborhoods...
Niggas watch their neighbors, and look for an opportunity to take advantage of their weaknesses.

Black people appreciate the sacrifices made for them by, their families to help them get ahead in life...
Niggas will sacrifice their Families and steal from them in order to get their next high.

Black people appreciate expensive jewelry designer clothes and nice cars but realize that they don't make the person...
Niggas define themselves by their designer clothes platinum jewelry and nice cars.

Black people will know the people at their local bank branch by first name...
Niggas will know the people at the neighborhood Check Cashers and liquor store by first name..

Black people see hard working brothers and sisters with legitimate jobs as potential mates...
Niggas won't even look at you if you're not a Hustler, Baller or a Bad Ass B**ch.

Black people will work hard to be innovative or to build something out of nothing.
Niggas will work hard at getting something for nothing.

Black people work hard all week and then go out on the
weekend to relax and chill at the few Black night spots we have...
Niggas relax and chill all week and then go out on the weekends and work hard to mess up the few Black night spots we have.

In the words of Chris Rock, "I love Black people... but I can't stand niggas!!

For the exception of the Bank/Check Cashing part, this is definately on the mark.

BTW: Some hard working folks unfortunately have to resort to check cashing outfits due to their inability to open checking account at banking institutions.

I remember when I first started to work I had to pay a bounced check for $29 that I wrote to the supermarket on Spruce St. Now that is going back to when it was A&P. I did not remeber writing nor bouncing the check but I could not open a checking account to get direct deposit. That is horrible when something has you by the balls and you are trying to get things straight. But everything is cool now... years later.

Niggas make Black folks look bad. I am so pro-Black that I am super sensitive to the differences. We are such a beautiful, super intelligent people with the power of creation at our fingertips and the spirit of the creator in our hearts it saddens me when I see us (Black Folks) act a fool. Breaks my heart.

Niggers, niggas, etc., have only had one criterion up until now: the color of one's skin. Nigga means a lot of different things to different people. My primary problem, however, is with "Negros" who, after they got theirs, think of themselves better than where they came from or smarter than the rest. It is evident by poverty pimp preachers, Howard Lucas or even the Condoleeza Rices and Colin Powells of the world (whose "play the game on the inside" approach masks their selfish tendencies to look out for only themselves while being used by an Evil administration they should have no part of). We all need help... even if some of us don't know it.

Statistics are dire, such as more black men are more likely to go to jail than to college. Certain things are getting better (like teenage pregnancy), but we still have a long way to go. Should we discard up to one-quarter to one-third of those who identify as Americans of African descent?

Why don't we all stop eating so much or stop smoking cigarettes or buying expensive shoes or driving fancy cars or new clothes or drinking alcohol--or, hell, do you really even need your cellphone? We could all make better choices. And making choices is complex even if those choices appear damn wrong from my viewpoint. We fill ourselves up with hubris and self-righteousness. It is human.

Comedy is to laugh at our pain. It's a not a basis for Redemption or a public policy.

Amen to that. Also an annual check-up is something that we cannot afford to bypass. How can anyone make a difference in life if they haven't the health to do it? (BTW, I have to buy expensive shoes because I have arthritic feet. ;))
