Patriot Media will hold a job fair on Wednesday, March 28th, from 1-7pm at its offices, located at 100 Randolph Road, Somerset. Onsite interviews will held for technical positions.

Installation Repair Technician

Responsibilities:
Install, service, disconnect, change or reconnect telephony, cable modem equipment, and CATV lines inside customer residence. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with all applicable company procedures and in compliance with all municipal, state and federal laws and guidelines. Provide customer assistance, education and information on services, customer equipment and products. Promote marketing and sales efforts during each customer and potential customer contact. Take appropriate action to expedite workflow to consistently meet customer appointments and company commitments. Report any unauthorized use of company provided service/equipment or any theft or suspected theft of service/equipment to the appropriate person. Maintain regular communication through shift with the office and appropriate supervisors following established policies and procedures. Maintain and operate vehicle in accordance with company policy and procedures. Perform all work in a safe manner according to all company independent agencies, municipal, state and federal safe work laws and regulations. Issue, receive, maintain and be accountable for an approved level of inventory stock and equipment. Follow all polices and procedures for the care and securing of company property, vehicles and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager/supervisor.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma, or General Education Diploma (GED) Equivalent combination of education and experience. Maintain a good driving record, safe habits and a valid driver's license. Full knowledge and understanding of maintaining drop system reliability. Ability to accept and respond to an on-call assignment in a timely manner and maintain communications during the on-call assignment. Provide assistance and guidance to CST personnel when any technical problems arise. Use signal-measuring equipment, volt ohmmeter, TDR and other appropriate equipment for installation, service, upgrade, disconnect and change of service. Support overall goals of the organization and work as a team player. Remain calm and courteous when interacting with the public, customers, prospective customers, clients and co- workers. Ability to lift 80lbs. and handle a ladder on a continual basis throughout the day. Work with hand tools and operate machinery as needed. Be able to climb poles and work with specified heights and crawl spaces. Must be able to work outdoors during adverse weather conditions.
