Every day it is clearer that nothing could be better than being in the inner circle of Mayor Sharpe James.

Family members and close friends are making millions on bold, unethical development schemes. They no longer attempt to shield their excess and greed. They have become serenely at ease with abuse of power and thrive in the midst of a complacent public. They are certainly bandits but Newarkers tolerate them. But the matter of Harold Lucas, his $200,000 plus contract and now his $66,000 subsidy cannot be ignored. It was reported that a provision in Lucas’ contract would make $66,000 dollars of taxpayer’s money available to him so that his pension will increase by $16,736 to $71,275 per year. But The Newark Housing Authority Board would not buy back $66,000 worth of pension time for Executive Director Harold Lucas. If this was not the last straw for Newarkers then we are truly lost. Worse still is the fact that Harold’s outrageous demand had the full endorsement of Mayor Sharpe James and City Council President Donald Bradley (who is also a Housing Authority Commissioner). They think Harold is a nice guy and deserves our money. The practice of buying back time to increase pension payments has gone on for a long time. But the employee is generally required to spend her/his own money for the purchase. Sharpe James and Donald Bradley granted Lucas permission to spend our money. And our elected leaders have become so accustomed to recklessly using our tax dollars that Lucas’ $66,000 deal didn't bother them. They are silent witnesses to the rape of our community. Even the“young guns” (like our duputy mayor) that say they want to lead us into an era of reform are mute. They know Sharpe will scold and even fire them if they utter a peep.

And through it all Mayor Sharpe James has a sly grin pasted across his face. He takes comfort in the knowledge that he has thoroughly intimidated an entire community and its leadership. Those who are sworn to protect us against such naked abuse are cozy with the Mayor, feeding at his trough and well schooled that it is not polite to talk while your mouth is full. The whole thing stinks like a rotting carcass. The Mayor, City Council and Housing Authority Commissioners had a duty to force the removal of the vulgar buy back provision out of Harold Lucas’ contract. If they refused, the community had a duty to force them from their seats. Harold Lucas’ greed is an obvious addiction, he seems unable to wean himself from his bloodsucking ways. If there ever was a reason to clean house, Lucas is screaming it at us. And make no mistake about it, Sharpe James is presiding over the ugly misdeeds of Lucas and the rest of his crowd….he and his handpicked City Council President. Everywhere we find trouble these days, we also find the same rationalizing, apologizing face…sadly, it’s Don Bradley.

It’s time to rid ourselves of this entire putrid bunch before they spoil any remaining opportunity Newark has for a prosperous future.

Lucas is a selfish son of a b---h who gives a d--n about no one but his d--n self. Whats so frightning about Lucas is that he is so out right blatant about everything he does. From the remodeling of his NHA digs at the tune of over a million dollars, to using NHA carpenters and tradesmen to do work on his own personal house in East Orange, to scr---g NHA women right under the Misses nose, to mistreating other NHA employees, to giving his s--ts payroll raises and denying others who were at NHA for years not a single penny. I know a woman who worked at NHA for years and was so severly mistreated in her department by her department head and Lucas was informed of this several times and did nothing! This employee needed to be removed from this department because of pure harrassment and she came to see Lucas in hopes that he would help her. He had there nerve to tell someone that worked in his office at the time, after the young lady left, who does this b---h think she is!. What a dirty mean son of a b--h! The outside world only knows a smidget about the things Lucas has done. And dont let me get started on Donald Bradley, who I thought at one time was a nice christian man. Was I in for a shock! This employee that was harrased at NHA by her department head tried to get Donald Bradley to help her, she had even campaigned for him in the past! He was even her councilman in the South Ward! Her cries fell on death ears! But Maximus let me inform you just a little bit more! A couple of years ago Donald Bradley had a young lady hired in a department at NHA. When he bought this young lady in he told the Department Head to not touch this young lady no matter what. In other words if this young lady did not perform to the directors liking, he had better ignore it. Well! This young lady would come to work late every day. When i say late i mean the work day at NHA starts at 8:30 and ends at 4:30 or 5:00 pm. Several times she would arrive at work high at 4:00p.m.! and no one did nothing because of what Bradley said. Now he covered a lazy, sorry irresponsible grown woman like that, but would not help this other employee who was struggling her a-- off and was very responsible, but instead he let her be lynched uinfairly by Lucas posse! That would include Vernita Sias Hill, Assistant ED, Shaye Aromi Assistant ED. When i tell you how dirty these people have been, you have simply no idea to what extent! So Bradley and the so called commisioners at NHA our to blame for some of the dirt also. I am just waiting to see what the Feds are gonna do with Lucas and his devil deciples. Someone informed me that yesterday they saw some folks outside of NHA yesterday that looked like the Feds and they were talking to Channel 7 news reporters. They also tell me that inside 500 Broad Street, that there is a strong vibe that something is about to go down...Maximus I promise you that if criminal charges are filed against Harold Lucas or any of his staff, that there will be a class action suit immediately filed against NHA and its entities for the mistreatment and outright harrasment of former unfairly laid off NHA employees. So may the chips fall where they may! Please stay tuned..........

Talk about shillness!!! If it was Doug Forrester in front of NHA...well you dont even know what he said! I mean the NHA is wide open to criticism. He could of been demanding real reform with an agency failing to forget what its real mission is....HOUSING!!!!So its ok for you to allow an agency to "move" $8mil for section 8 housing to the arena? Or a place to dump patronage jobs. Is that what ur saying? Imagine, just a hypothetical, if a "Doug Forreser" type did that kind of maneuvering...somehow I believe your tone would be far different.

BTW...a major correction..Doug Forrester is not a right-wing conservative...he is clearly moderate-to-liberal republican...Steve Loneghan is a lunatic-far-right-wing-nutjob-conservative, Schundler can be categorized as a right-wing conservative (on most issues, not all, and nothing wrong with that), but Forrester...no...not even close.

In addition Nashiba I hope you understand that the folks standing in front of the NHA were not the feds it was Doug Forrester the right wing conservative that is running for governor asking that the Feds to take over the Housing Authority surely you are not advocating on his behalf cause beleive me he is not advocating on yours and nothing he is in favor of can be good for Newark.

How far does your loyalty to the Lucas'es go. Oh, I'm sorry it is so obvious that you are still part of that a--s kissing click. As i told you on several of my previous post. You are either part of the solution or still part of the problem. Stop trying to convince others that the Lucas'es and its entities are correct in mistreating people. People who have sense and were raised right, know the difference between right and wrong. You are beginning to make me feel sorry for you. Do you have any b--ls of your own. Sorry, if I hurt your tender little feelings with my Slap Back approach to what I regard as a debate on various topics within this forum. Unfortunately your two posts this morning fell within the realm of utter contradiction and bordered on stupidity (no insult intended, just calling an ace an ace).

I must step back here a minute and seriously wonder about your clarity of thought. By your post it is apparent that you remember some of what you were taught about Willie, but I have to ask do you understand the magnitude of his message, do you understand the deep and long lasting scars his indoctrination left among us and within us? Let see:

Part of his divide and rule strategy against our race was to make us hate each other. Well here is a message for you Sharpe does not have too stoop to the level of questioning Cory's Blackness he got plenty of ammo about his lack of real vision for this city and if Sharpe can't express this than he needs to go!!! on the other hand if Cory can't move past that question it is not because he is being unfairly characterized it is because he lacks the ability to sell the people of this City his vision!!!!!

I am not in anybody's inner circle nor do I care to be I have been a critic of Sharpes many of times on this board show me one time that you have done so to Booker.

Also I have asked you what vision did Booker share with us in 2002 and you still have not answered me nor have you or your team shared with me his vision for he run next year.
