Newark insurance premiums are still ridiculous. N.J. loves being in bed with these insurance companies. "Competition is the only thing that will bring rates down"...Bull....Not giving them rate increases everytime they ask for it will bring rates down.

I was looking to renew my insurance at the beginning of the year. I called two different companies - two cars 2001 olds (full) and 1996 ford (liability)
1) same information as last year. no accidents, no points, one license suspension from a parking ticket over three years ago, Newark address $3000
2) same information, same cars, Linden address (auntie's address - contemplating moving to linden/roselle area this year) $1200 for the year
What can I say... The beauty of living in this fair city...

ticket which suspended my license. They never sent a notice that I had a ticket just straight to DMV. Another reason to blame the city for wrongdoings :p
