From inside sources Spencer's position as an Assemblyperson is at risk. She has managed to upset Democratic insiders and has had a less than stellar performance in Trenton. Hear William Payne has petitions circulating.

Whomever the members of the Payne Dynasty feels they can push over to get one of their own in is at risk. After all, it's only a woman and this is the Old Boys Club. :D So it's a two-fer for the Paynes -- Bill and the nephew, Craig Stanley? That'll show 'em.

She is not at risk and has been one of the best Assembly persons this City has had.

If the Paynes try to get Grace out her grassroots will be up to the challenge of engaging them. We finally have someone that represents the communities needs and we are not ready to lose this.

The best assemblywoman we ever had?? Come on now. All she knows how to do is literally cry and get emotional in public...

She is a big disappointment. Her colleagues Senator Ruiz and Assemblypeople Coutinho and Tucker seem more active throughout Newark. She is rarely at community meetings and am not aware of any meaningful legislation she has passed. Am not a fan of William Payne but at this point lets give him a second look.

I'm no fan of Spencer, but a 70 year old dude from the Payne clan? Come on, give me a break.

Spencer has NO grassroots (I'm surprised you even mentioned it).

Payne is old, but still has enough political juice to get Newark what it needs.

I wish there were a third option, but... oh well.

Primary time will prove who has what type of grass roots. You give the Paynes to much credit we will soon see what juice they have left.

Do you also want Old Man Minor for Mayor?

Thats your opinion of Grace but Booker still supports her and so do I. Great thing about this forum we can all agree to disagree and move on.
