View Full Version : NHA?

Things have been quiet lately concerning the NHA. Where are the pro-arena people who trust the NHA overseeing this project? There have been pro and cons about the Star Ledger covering this story. It seems that Jeffery Mays is still on top of this story. I would have serious concerns about the NHA being in charge of installing a Port-o-San in my backyard for a picnic.

In the article it stated that the NHA gave the Newark theater over $1mil to pull it out of the fire... what type of deal was it or does anyone know? Is the theater partly owned by the NHA or just a financing situation?

NHA will not actually be in charge of Arena construction. They are just the pass through agency, similar to th NJ sports exposition commision, or the Essex county improvement authority. Neither oversee day to day operations, but an agency like the NHA is needed to manage the bonds and contracts.
The Arena GC (General Contractor) will be responsible for day to day construction oversight.
