Can someone tell me if Minor is going to open up a HQ before the end of the summer? He truly needs to be operational for the back-to-school seaons. Look, folks, Booker has changed the game. You have to run early and hard if you want to win. The old days when you could run starting in January and expect to win in May are over.

Way under the radar...Well never know booker may implode.I hear a major news network has been tracking booker and will release a story about how many days he has been in newark since becoming mayor..I could not venture a guess? hear it is a shocker..

MediaMayor.....Booker. Minor is just too quite for me..The Media Mayor is shining his light so bright.....Minor should not lead a campaign synonyms with his name.

That worries me too! I'm thinking all kinds of strategy, waiting to see if the man's ideas are the same as mine, wondering what track he'll take, with whom he will align himself...it's been all too casual for me so far. There seems to be more chance that Booker will immolate himself than that Minor will light a candle.

Has Minor even indicated that he will run for mayor?

Yes, Joe he has. What worries me is the possibility that he is a cardboard candidate, not a real one. What are the chances he's doing a favor for Cory and Steve by running, but not too hard?

Minor is the sacrificial lamb of a very weak opposition. No one can raise the money to compete with Booker and there are no young turks looking to make a name for themselves, so no one is going to run hard. 5 made the great point that the opposition, if it were truly relevant, would forget the Mayor's race and focus on picking off a few council candidates. They don't even seem to be trying too hard to win at that level. I think they are biding their time until Cory moves on because they really don't have any strategy or ideas of their own. After Cory is a senator, governor or whatever, then we will see a John James-Ras Baraka opposition trying to make a strong move. Hopefully, someone up and coming will have arrived first.

Newark Forum:
Last week, I received a flyer in my mailbox stating "Minor For Mayor 2010-Together We Can - Newark Needs A 'Steady Hand'."
The flyer has Minor, Baraka and James as running mates. Attached is a volunteer card (for monetary donations and on hand volunteering) along with dates and places for his campaign headquarters:

Starting on July 25, 2009-
570-A Clinton Avenue
24 Irvine Turner Blvd
103 Bergen St

As an aside, Oscar Jr. has sent out a "South Waed Snapshot" touting streetscape plans, Senior home repair programs and the Summer Series. He is definitely running!
