Default When will the new school be built on South Orange Ave
They cleared the land for it and basically left it as another rundown dump. At least they could have cleared the land and planted grass until they were ready for construction.

Groundbreaking held for West Ward school
Wednesday, November 21, 2007

NEWARK: In a little under two years' time students and staff at Newark's Speedway Elementary School will have a new building to call home, at least during school hours.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday to mark the start of construction on the West Ward school, which will sit along South Orange Avenue just west of the Garden State Parkway and across from Vailsburg Park.
