Dean organization backs Rice in CD 10
By Max Pizarro | April 30th, 2012 - 5:32pm Share on facebook Share on twitter Share on favorites Share on print | More Sharing ServicesMore Tenth Congressional District candidate Ron Rice this weekend earned a national endorsement from the progressive organization Democracy for America. “There are many reasons why Democracy for America is proud to endorse Ron Rice for Congress,” said Jim Dean, Chair of Democracy for America (DFA), brother of 2004 presidential candidate Howard Dean. ”With his candidacy for the House of Representatives, we have in him a leader with a strong sense of integrity and an impeccable work ethic. You can count on Ron to not give up when Congress challenges him and will do his best to be an unwavering voice for his constituents. Believe me when I say Ron Rice is the kind of man many of us hope to represent us in congress and New Jersey’s 10th District has that chance.” The grassroots political organization adds its support to a list of endorsements, including former Gov. Richard Codey, state Senator Ron L. Rice, Assemblyman John McKeon, Newark Council members Ras Baraka and Darrin Sharif, West Orange councilmen Sal Anderton and Vic Carilo, Union County Freeholder Mohamed S. Jalloh, and former Payne, Jr. colleague and Newark Municipal Councilwoman, Bessie Walker. |
