The good thing is that the COUNCIL finally showed just a bit of backbone and has begun to take its oversight responsibilities seriously. EVERYONE is accountable - even Lucas, the Mayor, etc. (The only exception is GW Bush and that's because he's too stupid to be held responsible for anything.) These oversight commissions should become a regular practice. With Newark about to embark on a serious capital upgrade, council members should begin to cut their teeth on serious oversight procedures.
